Lindsay Barker currently serves as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Strategic Director at Colchester City Council since June 2021. Additionally, Lindsay has been a Director at Avid Climbing Limited since April 2018, contributing to the development of a new bouldering facility in Ipswich. Prior experience includes serving as Strategic Director at Great Yarmouth Borough Council from October 2019 to June 2021 and as Deputy Chief Executive at Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils from April 2012 to April 2018. During the tenure at Babergh and Mid Suffolk, responsibilities included supporting the Chief Executive in delivering the Councilsā€™ Joint Strategic Plan and acting as Head of Paid Service when needed. An Interim Director of Growth at the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in 2017, Lindsay has a solid foundation in public service leadership and management. Education was completed at Northgate VI Form and Copleston High School.
