Andrew Merrett has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. In 2013, they worked as a skilled laborer at Mallette Landscaping. From 2014 to 2015, they gained experience as an Engineering Summer Student with the City of Ottawa, where they worked on projects such as Park N' Ride, bus lane extension, and sewer and water main replacements. In 2018, Andrew started their own business, TMG Landscaping Inc., where they served as the owner until 2021. In 2019, they transitioned into cryptocurrency investing and trading as a full-time venture. Currently, they hold the role of Account Executive at CoinSmart, starting in October 2022.

Andrew Merrett attended the University of Guelph from 2010 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture. During their time at the university, they also received a Certificate of Environmental Citizenship with a social science perspective of global environmental issues. In 2015, Andrew obtained additional certifications, including 'Emerging Green Builder' from the Canada Green Building Council - Greater Toronto Chapter and 'LEED Green Associate' from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Andrew also received recognition as an Academic All Canadian for men's varsity hockey in 2013 and 2014 through the Canadian Interuniversity Sport. In 2022, Andrew obtained certifications in 'The Traits of Successful Salespeople' and 'Cold Calling: The First Seven Seconds' from LinkedIn.
