Joseph Finkel has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to the present. In 2012, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Ginsburg Lab. In 2013, they were a Software Development Intern at Merlin Simulation Inc. From 2014 to 2020, they worked at Expedia Group in various roles, including Software Development Engineer I and Software Development Engineer II. In 2020, they began working at Coinme as a Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer - Engineering Owner, Compliance, and Senior Engineering Lead - Compliance. During their time at Coinme, they designed and implemented the v2 Coinme KYC workflow and built the BTC purchasing and selling component of the settlement engine.

Joseph Finkel completed their high school education at Port Huron Northern High School, graduating with a High School Diploma in 2010. Joseph then attended the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Engineering in 2014. During their time at the University of Michigan, they also spent a semester at Shanghai Jiao Tong University studying Computer Science Engineering.
