Chitra Venkatramani is a seasoned engineering leader currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Coinbase since November 2024. Previously, Chitra held the position of Engineering VP at Google from November 2022 to November 2024, focusing on Ads engineering productivity and integration testing. Chitra's tenure at Google from 2016 to 2022 as Director of Engineering involved enhancing developer velocity and product quality for Ads, achieving significant innovations in monitoring and automation. Chitra's earlier career at IBM spanned from 1997 to 2016, where roles included Distinguished Engineer in AI/conversational systems and Senior Manager in Research and Development, driving initiatives in customer experience innovation and high-performance analytics solutions. Chitra earned a PhD in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
