Owen Hempel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Owen began their career as a Timekeeper at Oakville Minor Lacrosse Association from April 2016 to November 2017. In 2020, they worked as a Food Service Worker at both Firehouse Subs from October 2020 to June 2021 and Boardwalk Cheesesteaks Inc. from January 2020 to August 2021. In 2022, they served as a Shop Manager at Mikes Auto Parts from June 2022 to September 2022. Owen then transitioned to LaChapelle Estate Management in June 2021, taking on the role of Property Manager. Currently, since June 2023, they are employed as a Data Specialist at Cohere.

Owen Hempel completed their high school education at Thomas A. Blakelock from 2017 to 2021, earning a High School Diploma. Owen then pursued further studies at Queen's University from 2021 to 2025, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
