Torsten Kracht began their work experience in 1998 as an Associate at Alston & Bird LLP. Torsten worked there until 2006 when they joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP as a Counsel. In 2008, they moved to Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP as a Partner, specializing in corporate litigation, arbitration, and risk counseling. In 2018, they became the General Counsel at Cognicion LLC.

Torsten Kracht began their education in 1989 at the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, where they earned a B.B.A. in Finance and Operations Management in 1993. During this time, they also attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and received a BBA degree. In 1991-1992, they studied at Heidelberg University, although the specific degree and field of study are not provided. From 1994 to 1998, Torsten Kracht attended Rutgers Law School, obtaining a J.D. degree in Law. Torsten also pursued further education in law at Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 1995-1996, through a U.S. Fulbright Grant, with a focus on U.S. law.
