Gergely Bánk has a diverse work experience in the technical field. Gergely started their career at Phoenix Contact in 2003, where they worked as a Technical Support Engineer and IT Administrator. Gergely provided technical support to Hungarian customers and also managed IT tasks such as server, network, and desktop maintenance, as well as software systems like CRM and ERP.

In 2008, Gergely joined Cognex Corporation as a Technical Support Engineer. Gergely supported customers in Europe, Africa, and Australia with their technical inquiries. Gergely gained knowledge in industrial control systems and PLCs during this time. Gergely was later promoted to Senior Technical Support Engineer and continued their responsibilities.

Gergely then transitioned to the role of Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Cognex in 2014. Gergely'stasks included conducting manual and automated tests using C# for firmware, GUI, and related hardware elements of the application. Gergely utilized the White open-source library for MS UI Automation framework during GUI tests. In 2016, they were promoted to Senior QA Engineer and continued these responsibilities.

In 2020, Gergely became a Software Engineer at Cognex, where they further developed their software engineering skills. Gergely was later promoted to the role of Software Engineer and Team Lead in 2021, and then to Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead in 2022. These roles involved leading a team and contributing to software development projects.

Throughout their career, Gergely has gained experience in technical support, software quality assurance, and software engineering, demonstrating their versatility and adaptability in the industry.

Gergely Bánk obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Computer Science from the Budapesti Műszaki Főiskola, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Sándor Petőfi High School from 1996 to 2000.
