Christopher Poulsen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Christopher'smost recent role is as Senior Director, IT Security at Cognex Corporation since April 2019. Prior to that, they worked as CISO & President at Sirius Cyber Security, LLC from December 2013 to April 2019, where they provided information security consultancy services and held various interim management roles. Christopher also served as Director, Advisory - Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management at PwC from June 2012 to November 2013, where they were responsible for client-facing business development, engagement delivery, and practice development related to information security. Before that, they held the position of CIO and Director, Information & Technologies at Headquarters Dept. Army, Installation Management Command from September 2007 to June 2012. Christopher has also worked as Director, Network Engineering & MIPPS Wireless at Primus Telecommunications Canada, Inc. from October 2004 to September 2007 and as Chief Information Officer (CIO) & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Netscalibur, Ltd. from January 2000 to October 2004. Christopher'searlier experience includes roles at AT&T, Touche Ross & Company, and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Christopher Poulsen has a strong educational background with multiple degrees. Christopher obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Government Information Leadership & Cyber Security from National Defense University in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Telecommunications Management from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1995. In 1990, they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Management with a Concentration in Computer Science from MIT Sloan School of Management. In 1983, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting from Bentley University. In addition to their degrees, Poulsen has obtained various certifications in the field of information security such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) from (ISC)².
