Alexander "Alec" Pfuhl is an accomplished professional in the coffee industry with extensive experience in quality control, roasting, and judging. Alec has served as a Certified Judge for the World Coffee Roasting Championship and Barista & Brewers Cup at World Coffee Events since June 2022. Additionally, Alec holds multiple qualifications as a Q Arabica Grader and Q Processing Level 1 from the Coffee Quality Institute since July 2014. Alec's accolades include being the SCA German Roasting Champion in 2015 and the recipient of the 500th SCAE Coffee Diploma. Alec’s career includes positions at Touton Specialties GmbH, InterAmerican Coffee Hamburg, and Union Rösterei, among others. Educational credentials encompass a degree in eCAS in Coffee Excellence from ZHAW Zurich University, certifications from SGS Academy, and various competencies from the Specialty Coffee Association, including Barista and Sensory Professional.
