Christa M. has had a varied work experience in the software engineering field. In 2019, they began working as a Staff Engineer for Coffee Meets Bagel. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Principal Software Engineer at Trulia, helping people find home and building real estate search apps in Java & Kotlin. In 2013, they were a Contract Android Developer for New Frontier Nomads. From 2012 to 2013, they were an SDK Developer, Android for PlayHaven, an app monetization platform. In 2011, they were an Engineer for Sharp Labs of America and an Intern for Utilika Foundation. In 2010, they were an Android Developer for Patrick Carman Studios. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Student Programmer for Administrative Computing at Walla Walla University, writing Oracle SQL scripts to migrate data from a deprecated campus management system to PeopleSoft, as well as C, Perl and PHP scripting.

Christa M. received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Walla Walla University in 2009, and a Master of Science in Computational Linguistics from the University of Washington in 2012.
