Daniel Nelson has had a diverse work experience. Daniel began their career as a pianist, working as a freelance musician and composer since 1995. In 2010, they joined KNOCK and TREAT AND COMPANY as an Executive Assistant, where they worked until 2020. During this time, they also founded their own events company called Danimal Kingdom Events, where they held the role of Chief Marvelous Officer. In 2020, Nelson joined Coen+Partners as an Operations Manager and later transitioned to the role of Senior Human Resources Manager.

From 1995 to 2000, Daniel Nelson attended the University of Northern Iowa, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.
