Ouma Onguka is a Scientist II at Codexis, Inc. since February 2021, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University School of Medicine from July 2016 to February 2021, under the guidance of Professor Matthew Bogyo. During the postdoctoral tenure, significant contributions included the development and implementation of a fluorogenic screening assay that led to the identification of small molecule inhibitors of Toxoplasma gondii. Ouma Onguka holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in BCMB - Physiology from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, a Master of Science (MS) in Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
