Ericka Bermudez is a seasoned professional in molecular biology with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Codexis, Inc. since March 2019, Ericka has previously held significant roles at DuPont Pioneer as a Research Scientist and Molecular Biology Team Manager from January 2012 to February 2019, where responsibilities included protein engineering and multidisciplinary project coordination. Prior experience includes a tenure as Sr. Research Associate at Pioneer/DuPont from January 2004 to January 2012, focusing on Directed Evolution projects, and as a Research Associate at Maxygen from September 1996 to January 2003, contributing to the establishment of vital research infrastructure. Ericka began a career in scientific research as a Research Assistant at Affymax in 1996, gaining expertise in DNA Shuffling technology. Ericka holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a focus on Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
