Olli Alm has extensive experience in software engineering and research. Olli is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Codento Oy. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at AlphaSense, Inc. from June 2019 to May 2021. Before that, they held the position of Senior Software Developer at MOIA from May 2018 to April 2019, where they were responsible for developing core algorithms and improving code performance. Olli also has a background in academia, having worked as a Researcher and Senior Lecturer at Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from November 2008 to May 2018. Olli conducted research on computational creativity as a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Helsinki from October 2014 to July 2016. Additionally, Olli worked as a Research Assistant at TKK Semantic Computing Research Group, where they developed ontology-based information extraction systems and worked with RDF-based data models from 2005 to 2008.

Olli Alm completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki in 2008. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including "Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals" from Coursera in May 2021, "AWS Fundamentals: Addressing Security Risk" from Coursera in April 2021, "AWS Fundamentals: Going Cloud-Native" from Coursera in April 2021, and "Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer" from Google in August 2021.
