Nicholas Metz, MS, LPCC, Ret Police Chief, currently serves as Counselor and COO at Code-4 Counseling, providing consulting, training, and therapy dog handling since January 2020. In addition, Nicholas Metz holds the position of Clinical Counseling Intern at It’s A Calling Foundation, which offers mental health resources to emergency responders and their families. Metz was a Founding Board Member of the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation from January 2016 to January 2023 and served as Chief of the Aurora (CO) Police Department from February 2015 to December 2019, following a lengthy tenure at the Seattle Police Department from 1983 to 2015, where roles included Deputy Chief. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Psychology from Colorado State University Global, an AA in Law Enforcement from Normandale Community College, and a BS in Public Administration from City University of Seattle.
