Javier I. Zaratiegui has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Javier I.'smost recent position was as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at COCUUS SYSTEM IBÉRICA Ltd, a role they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a 3D Modeler at ARQUEHA Arquitectura y Urbanismo SLP from February 2018 to July 2018, and also briefly in February 2018. Javier I. also worked as a Collaborator at Archicercle from January 2018 to March 2018. Before these positions, Javier served as the Digital Fabrication Laboratory Manager at the University of Navarra from July 2014 to August 2017. Javier I. began their career as a Teacher Assistant at Columbia University in the City of New York from September 2011 to December 2011.

Javier I. Zaratiegui has a diverse educational background in the field of architecture and computational design. Javier I. pursued their Master's degree in Computational Design at Delft University of Technology from 2012 to 2013. Following this, they attended Orta DoÄŸu Teknik Ãœniversitesi (Middle East Technical University) from 2013 to 2014, where they obtained another Master's degree in Computational Design and Fabrication Technologies in Architecture.

Javier completed their undergraduate studies at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they earned a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree from 2002 to 2009. Before that, they attended Universidad de Navarra from 1998 to 2002 with a focus on architecture.

To expand their skill set, Javier acquired a certification as a Certified ArchiCAD 19 Power user from SIMBIM - Graphisoft in 2015 and 2016, which enhanced their knowledge in Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Currently, Javier is furthering their education with a Ph.D. program in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at Universidad Pública de Navarra, which they began in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2023.
