Thomas Borne is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over three decades in systems engineering, primarily in the fields of acoustics and auditory solutions. Currently serving as Director of Acoustics Systems Engineering at Cochlear since September 2011, Thomas manages a team focused on developing bone anchored hearing solutions. Previous roles at Cochlear include Manager and Principal Engineer positions, emphasizing architectural design and project management. Prior to Cochlear, Thomas held senior systems engineering roles at Evidente AB, Saab Space AB, and Combitech Systems AB, contributing to various industries including aerospace and automotive. Thomas began their career at SKF Nova AB as an R&D Engineer in sensor development. Thomas holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology.
