Puya Abolfathi is an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in biomedical engineering and technology development. Currently serving as a Senior Test System LabVIEW Engineer at Cochlear since April 2021, Abolfathi is responsible for the development of LabVIEW software for cochlear implant testing systems. As the CEO and Co-founder of Kinobionic, initiated in August 2019, Abolfathi focuses on creating advanced soft robotic gloves to assist individuals with paralysis. In addition, since April 2017, Abolfathi has held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Visospace, driving innovative technology solutions for various industries. Abolfathi also contributes as an Honorary Professor at the University of Wollongong, supervising research and students in engineering disciplines. Previous roles include Senior Process Development Engineer at Finisar Corporation, Director at Biomech, and Product Development Manager at Healthcare Innovations Australia. Abolfathi earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Flinders University.
