Jim Harner is an experienced human resources leader currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Cobb County Government since July 2022. Prior roles include Director of Human Resources for the City of Roswell, Georgia from December 2014 to July 2022, and Director of Operations and HR - Chief Compliance Officer for the Cobb and Douglas County Community Services Board from July 2004 to December 2014. Additional experience includes positions as Human Resources Manager at John Wieland Homes, Manager at The Grapevine Group, and Director of Training and Development at Parisian - Saks, Inc. Jim Harner holds an MBA in Business from Kennesaw State University and a B.S. in Management from Louisiana State University.
