David C. Morley has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Research Scientist at Cobalt Speech & Language since 2022. Previously, in 2022, they worked as a Research Intern at Pryon, where they researched and implemented a model for recognizing and expanding follow-up questions in Information Retrieval Question Answering systems. Before that, they served as a Head Teaching Assistant at Brandeis University from 2020 to 2021, where they assisted the professor in writing assignments and exams and provided one-on-one and group support to students. In 2021, they were a Linguistic Data Intern at Basis Technology, where they contributed to agile workflow and worked on projects related to structured text recognition and data extraction. Additionally, they freelanced as a Developer at VoiceScript ai in 2020, designing tools to streamline processes. In the same year, they worked as a Data Scientist at Brigham Young University, building a load forecasting model. In 2019, David collaborated with Cobalt Speech & Language as a Student Collaborator, creating a German speech recognition acoustic model. David C. also worked as a Web Scraper at Brigham Young University. Prior to that, in 2019, they served as a Forecaster and Database Engineering Intern at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where they developed a forecasting model and optimized an ETL process, significantly reducing runtime. Their earliest work experience was as an Interpreter Trainer/Office Assistant at the Missionary Training Center, where they provided interpretation services and coordinated and trained volunteer interpreters.

David C. Morley earned their Bachelor's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Brigham Young University. David C. attended the university from 2016 to 2020. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computational Linguistics at Brandeis University, where they studied from 2020 to 2022.
