Nick Merrill has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2011. From 2011-2013, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Harvard Student Agencies and an IT Intern at Factory Design Labs. In 2013, they became the Director of Strategic Technology Initiatives at Harvard College Consulting Group, a Human-Computer Interaction Researcher and Developer at Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and a Lead Frontend Developer at PollVaultr. In 2014, they founded and became the CEO of Instant GoGo, Ltd. Nick then co-founded and became the CEO of Merrill Snow Plowing in 2007. In 2018, they joined Wayfair as a Senior Engineer, and in 2021 they became a Senior Backend Engineer at Cobalt Robotics, where they designed and implemented backend features, facilitated integrations, and championed best practices.
Nick Merrill attended Kent Denver School from 2007 to 2011 and graduated with an A.B. in Computer Science from Harvard University in 2018. Nick also holds certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration - FAA, including an Instrument Airplane Rating obtained in July 2011 and a Private Pilot License obtained in June 2010. Additionally, they have an Open Water Diver certification from PADI, obtained in January 2003.
