Susannah McLaren is an accomplished professional in responsible sourcing and sustainability, currently serving as the Head of Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability at the Cobalt Institute since December 2020. With prior experience as the Responsible Sourcing Manager at the LBMA, Susannah managed programs in alignment with OECD Guidelines, addressing critical issues such as environmental concerns and human rights abuses. Before that, as a Business and Human Rights Advisor at Shift Project, Susannah provided expert guidance to major companies on human rights matters. Susannah held various senior roles at Amec Foster Wheeler, including Global Head of Social Sustainability, where Susannah was instrumental in implementing sustainable practices across multiple regions. Earlier roles included External Affairs Manager at Salix Finance and Environmental Advisor at Business Eco, showcasing a consistent focus on sustainability and responsible business practices throughout Susannah's career. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Environment & Business from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta.
