William Martinez has over a decade of work experience, starting as a Production Support Co-op at Dr Pepper Snapple Group in 2009. William later worked as a Renewable Energy Systems Co-op at The Entech Group Inc before moving on to various project engineering and management roles in the solar industry. William served as a Project Engineer at Conti Solar and Whitman before becoming a Project Manager at CMK Construction Management. William then worked as a Project Manager at BNRG Renewables Ltd, where they oversaw the final stage development of solar construction projects. After that, they worked as a Project Manager at Empower Energies and Standard Solar. Currently, they are a Senior Project Manager at Coast Energy, starting in 2022.

William Martinez received their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology between 2006 and 2011. In October 2017, they obtained a certification as a NABCEP Board Certified PV Installation Professional from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners. Furthermore, they obtained a Sitetracker certification in October 2022 from Sitetracker.
