Karen Tan serves as the Director of Innovation & Strategy at the Vera Institute of Justice, where responsibilities include establishing and managing a new Innovation department while overseeing program development and project implementation. Demonstrating expertise in behavioral science, Karen previously launched the behavioral science practice at the International Rescue Committee and led significant projects for the MacArthur Foundation. With a strong background in research and evaluative techniques across various organizations, including Public Health England and UNICEF, Karen has developed comprehensive strategies to enhance community outcomes. Alongside professional commitments, Karen contributes as a Coaching Fellow with Coaching For Everyone and possesses an academic foundation with a Master's in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and an Honours BA in Economics from the University of Waterloo.
