Joanna Hung has a diverse background in the architecture and construction industry. Joanna started their career as a Design Intern at KBR/Granherne in 2003. Joanna then worked as a Structural Engineering Intern at Wallace Engineering in 2004. In 2005, they joined Sasaki as an Architectural Intern.

Hung's next position was at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM), where they served as a Senior Architectural Professional from 2006 to 2013.
