Zaza Chelidze has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and positions. Zaza is currently working as the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Director for The USAID Resilient Communities Program at Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA) since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Statistical Consultant at UNDP in 2021. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at FAO as a Consultant in Statistics and later as a Senior National Policy Advisor. In 2014, they held the position of Practice Leader at the Policy and Management Consulting Group LLC and also served as the Team Leader for the Fiscal Decentralization Reform Project at the Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC). Before that, they were the Head of Analytics at JSC Partnership Fund from 2013 to 2014. Zaza Chelidze's extensive experience also includes serving as the Executive Director and Chairman of the Board at the National Statistics Office of Georgia - Geostat from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, they held the role of Chairman at the Statistics Department of Georgia in 2010 and worked as the Deputy Minister and Chief Adviser to the Minister at the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in 2009. In the same year, they were the Head of the Project, "Public Policy Discussion Panel and the Internet Forum Project" at Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG).
Zaza Chelidze has an extensive education history, spanning several institutions and fields of study. In 1989-1994, they attended Ivane Javahišvilis Sakhelobis Tbilisis Sakhelmtsipo Universiteti, where they obtained a Diploma in Economics. Following that, in 1998-1999, they attended the Joint Vienna Institute and earned a Certificate in Applied Economics. In 2002-2003, Zaza pursued a Master's degree in Public Finance and Macroeconomics at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo, Japan. Zaza's education journey continued in 2023, with various programs and certificates at Harvard University. Zaza obtained an Executive Certificate in an unspecified field of study from Harvard's John F. Kennedy School and participated in Executive Education at the Harvard Kennedy School, focusing on Using Evidence to Assess Effectiveness. Additionally, Zaza completed the program "Leading Successful Programs: Using Evidence to Assess Effectiveness" from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in April 2023.
