Erik Raaijmakers has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Erik started their career in 1990 at Société Lyonnaise d'Appareillage Téléphonique (SLAT), where they worked as a Test Automation Engineer. In this role, they implemented automated test procedures for quality checks on switched mode power supplies.
In 1991, Erik joined Matra Ericsson Telecommunications as a Software Design Engineer. During their time there, they participated in multiple international software design projects for the Ericsson AXE10 Digital Telephone Exchange. Erik was responsible for various tasks, including prestudies, software design, functional testing, network integration, and software maintenance.
After working at Matra Ericsson Telecommunications for seven years, Erik joined Ericsson Netherlands in 1998. Erik initially worked as a System Engineer, where they performed software architecture and technical coordination tasks for short-track projects on the AXE10 Digital Telephone Exchange. Erik also worked on implementation studies, design, testing, and maintenance of Network Protocol Adapters.
In 2003, Erik transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineer at Ericsson Netherlands. In this role, they implemented Ericsson's Virtual Private Network and Prepaid Charging solutions, focusing on Java software design and testing. Erik also managed the software build environment using Make and Ant tools.
From 2008 to 2011, Erik took on the role of Senior Software Architecture Engineer at Ericsson Netherlands. Erik was responsible for setting up a Software Packaging Infrastructure for Ericsson software products and integrated 3rd party products. Erik also designed an automatic production process for rpm packages using Maven.
In 2011, Erik became a Senior Test Environment Engineer at Ericsson Netherlands, where they focused on the virtualization of Ericsson software products and testing tools. Erik developed self-configuring virtual appliances for fast deployment of development and test environments. Erik also implemented a cloud infrastructure for offering virtual test environments to end users.
In 2013, Erik joined ENTER as a Senior Software Engineer. Their role involved software development and engineering tasks.
Finally, in 2015, Erik joined CM Telecom as a Senior System Engineer. Further details of their responsibilities in this role are not provided.
Erik Raaijmakers attended Hertog Jan College in Valkenswaard from 1978 to 1985, where they obtained their Atheneum B degree. Following this, they enrolled in Hogeschool Eindhoven from 1986 to 1989 and earned an Engineer's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering. Lastly, in 2006, Erik attended TIAS School for Business and Society for a year, participating in a Software Master Class on Object-Oriented Analysis and Design through UML.
