José Magalhães has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2008, they co-founded Monster Jinx and worked as a Musician and Co-founder, where they coded and maintained monsterjinx.com. José then joined Arwen Minds, S.A. as a Software Engineer from March 2008 to June 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at Bluekora - Agência Web & Comunicação.

From 2012 to 2014, José worked as a Frontend Engineer at COR&FJA, specializing in insurance software. In 2014, they became a Fullstack JavaScript Developer at Jscrambler, where they played multiple roles including Lead Developer, Scrum Master, and DevOps. Jscrambler focused on JavaScript security and IP protection solutions.

In 2015, José co-founded Relax, an open-source web-based website builder. José was responsible for developing and maintaining the stack, which included React, Redux, SCSS, Node.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, and Redis. From 2016 to 2018, they continued their journey at Jscrambler as a Lead Developer, Scrum Master, and DevOps.

In 2018, José joined oko as a Fullstack Engineer Consultant, working on news agency software. José utilized React, Redux, SCSS, Node.js, PostgresSQL, Redis, and AWS Lambda. In 2019, they worked as a Fullstack Engineer Consultant at msg life Iberia.

Currently, José works at Clutch as a Solutions Architect, leading a small team that validates solutions, bootstraps features, and adapts the product to build AI-powered apps. Overall, José has gained extensive experience in software development, engineering, and leadership roles across various industries.

José Magalhães completed their education in a chronological order. From 2003 to 2006, they attended Escola Secundária da Boa Nova, where they obtained a Technician degree in Information Technology. Following this, they enrolled at Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2012.
