Dickson M Wambua, Ph.D has worked in a variety of roles over the years. Starting in 2003, they were a Manufacturing QC/QA Chemist for BIDCO OIL REFINERIES LIMITED KENYA. In 2004, they were a Financial Consultant for Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Ltd. From 2007 to 2012, they were a PhD Student and Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 2010, they were a Resident Scientist for the National Science Foundation. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Director of Analytical Services for Craft Technologies Inc. In 2018, they co-founded Cloudsyte, a sustainability platform. Most recently, in 2020, they were a Program Lead for the National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps (I-Corps®).
Dickson M Wambua, Ph.D began their education at Maseno School from 1993 to 1996. Dickson M then attended Moi University from 1998 to 2003, earning a Bachelor of Science Chemistry in Chemistry. Dickson M continued their education at University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2007 to 2009, earning an MSc. in Biochemistry. Dickson M returned to University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2009 to 2012, earning a Ph.D in Medicinal Biochemistry (Bioanalytical Chemistry Concentration). In 2015, they obtained a Patent Agent certification from USPTO.
