Dr. Damian Igbe has a wealth of experience in Cloud-native Technologies, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps, Systems Operations, Docker/Kubernetes, Microservices Development and Deployments, and Cloud Native Security. Dr. Damian began their career in 1999 as a Senior Systems Administrator at the American Embassy, where they provided Linux & Windows Systems Administration and IT support for staff. In 2000, they worked as a Parallel Programmer at CPC, ECS, University of Westminster, parallelizing a road traffic simulator for an EU project. From 2004 to 2012, they worked as a Linux Systems Administrator at the University of Westminster, where they were responsible for Windows deployment with Novell ZCM and Linux deployment with Spacewalk (Satellite), Cobbler and Puppet, as well as provisioning Oracle VDI and Openstack cloud infrastructure for teaching and learning purposes. In 2012, they joined Ominii Systems Ltd as an AWS Cloud Architect & Technical Trainer. In 2013, they began working for Mirantis as a Senior Consultant, Training & Technical Delivery, providing Openstack Bootcamp training on various Openstack Administration, Openstack Operations and deployment strategies. In 2017, they joined Cloud Technology Experts INC as the Technical Trainer & Chief Technology Officer (CTO), where they provided training on Cloud-native Technologies to customers globally, consulted on AWS, Microservices Application Architectures, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Security to various clients, and developed online training programs for certification and learning in areas of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies. Dr. Damian also led the development of a new platform to support global online learning and managed all aspects of the project.

Dr. Damian Igbe holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Westminster, which they completed between 2004 and 2009. Dr. Damian also holds a B. Eng in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, which they completed between 1990 and 1996. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including the Kubernetes Certified Administrator from The Linux Foundation in 2022, the LPI+ Level 2 from Lpic Funding Inc in 2010, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2016, the AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services, and the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate from Amazon Web Services.
