Gay Thorne currently serves as Chief Growth Officer at Cloud Giants since April 2023, previously holding the position of VP of Strategy. Prior to this role, Gay Thorne spent over a decade at Salesforce from May 2012 to January 2023, achieving significant impact as RVP, Portfolio Lead in Customer Success, managing a portfolio exceeding $255M and leading a team focused on C-level relations and strategic planning. Earlier roles at Salesforce included Director/Sr. Director of Customer Success, where responsibilities included expanding key C-level relationships and managing a $40M portfolio, and as a Customer Success Executive for a major healthcare client. From 1999 to May 2012, Gay Thorne was with MegaPath Inc., progressing to the role of VP of Sales Operations & Engineering, overseeing operations for a $71M telecommunications company. Gay Thorne holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and an Executive MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
