David Schurman is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Perennial, where leadership in scientific computing, software engineering, machine learning, and product innovation aims to enhance carbon removal through agricultural practices. With over $25 million raised from mission-driven investors, David has a strong commitment to climate innovation. Previously, David served as a council member for the Forbes Technology Council and held positions at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, including lead software engineer for the Perseverance Rover's PIXLISE platform, recognized as a runner-up for the 2023 all-NASA Software of the Year. David's experience also encompasses work as a fellow at Lightspeed Venture Partners and project manager at Brown University's School of Engineering, where a team created a large-scale sundial sculpture. David's academic background includes research on oceanic carbon removal at the National Center for Atmospheric Research and a degree from Brown University.
