Thomas Osborn has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Thomas started their career at Santander UK as a Senior Analyst in Provisions Modelling and Reporting. From there, they moved on to the Bank of England, where they held two roles as a Risk Specialist, first in Credit Risk Measurement and then in the Retail team. Thomas then joined HSBC as a Senior Manager in Independent Model Review for the EMEA region. Currently, Thomas is working at Close Brothers as the Head of Corporate Modelling & Stress Testing, where they have led the development of the Corporate modelling team and has been responsible for the development and implementation of corporate IRB models. Thomas also has a strong regulatory background, having led corporate modelling meetings with the Prudential Regulatory Authority and contributed to Close Brothers' IRB application.
Thomas Osborn pursued a Master's degree from the University of Southampton between 2005 and 2006. Thomas'sarea of focus was Race Car Aerodynamics, resulting in an MSc degree. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, Thomas completed another Master's degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham.
