Shobana Rao has worked as a Senior Post Producer at Clockwork Post Production since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at MotorTrend Group from 2018 to 2022, where they held various roles such as Post Production Supervisor, Post Production Producer, and Post Production Coordinator. Their responsibilities included overseeing the department, managing post production on a high volume of projects, and supporting team workflow. Shobana also worked as a Lifestyle & Entertainment Contributor at Tastemaker Collective Media in 2017 and as an Executive Assistant and Event Coordinator at Number Project from 2016 to 2017. In addition, they worked as a Research Assistant at DePaul University in 2017 and held various positions at DemonTHON: DePaul University's Miracle Network Dance Marathon from 2014 to 2016, including Director of Event Management and Assistant Director of Entertainment.

Shobana Rao earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Cinema Studies from DePaul University in 2016. Shobana then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Relational Communication from the same university, which they completed in 2017.
