John Tang's work experience includes various roles in different companies. John is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at CLIQ Products, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Owner of Think Outside, LLC starting from March 2021.

Before that, John worked at Butterfly Network, Inc. where they held multiple positions including Manufacturing and Supply Chain, VP of Hardware, VP Mechanical and Manufacturing, and Principal Director of Hardware and Manufacturing from December 2018 to August 2022.

From January 2012 to December 2018, they were the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Sonos, Inc. Prior to that, they worked at Lab126 as the Dir, Accessory HW in 2010 and at Palm as the Sr. Director Accessories Engineering from May 2008 to August 2010.

John also has previous experience at Apple Computer, where they worked as the Sr. Engineering Program Manager from January 2006 to May 2008 and as a Product Designer from 1995 to 1998. Furthermore, they served as the VP Engineering at Lucesco Lighting, Inc. from February 2004 to January 2006 and at Think Outside from February 1998 to August 2004.

John Tang attended Lowell High School from 1973 to 1977. John then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at the University of California, Berkeley from 1978 to 1982.
