Stevie Thuy Anh Nguyen

Product Design Manager at Clio

Stevie Thuy Anh Nguyen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Starting in 2008, Nguyen worked at The Refinery Leadership Partners Inc. as a Creative Services provider, both internally and externally. They focused on researching and asking questions to provide different perspectives in their projects, ensuring the final product resonated with users.

In 2013, Nguyen worked as a Designer at Jenny T.A. Nguyen Creative Services, assisting clients in shaping messages to their audiences through words, visual style, and medium.

From 2016 to 2016, Nguyen served as an Apprentice at Dossier, where they worked on a solo rebrand project and learned different processes from experienced industry professionals.

In 2017, Nguyen became an Out in Schools facilitator at Out On Screen, contributing to educating the school community on queer and trans issues using film.

Starting in 2018, Nguyen served as a Sessional Instructor at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, supporting 4th year Interaction Design students in the design and prototyping of their graduation projects.

From 2014 to 2021, Nguyen worked at Simon Fraser University as a Teaching Assistant, offering technical critiques, directing students to relevant design precedents, and collaborating on student ideas and experiences.

At All Purpose from 2015 to 2021, Nguyen held various roles, including Design Operations Co-Director and Design Lead & Senior UX Designer. They managed client partnerships, represented the design team, facilitated design thinking workshops, managed projects, and conducted research.

From 2021 to 2022, Nguyen worked as a Design Program Manager at Legible, where they led the Experience Design team, partnered with Marketing and Customer Support, and influenced the product roadmap for Legible's B2C products.

Currently, Nguyen is working as a Product Design Manager at Clio - Cloud-Based Legal Technology, starting in 2022.

Throughout their career, Nguyen has focused on building inclusive design cultures, supporting high-quality work, and promoting the representation of marginalized communities.

Stevie Thuy Anh Nguyen began their education at Little Flower Academy from 2001 to 2006, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Stevie Thuy Anh then attended Simon Fraser University from 2006 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Interactive Arts and Technology. In 2009, they obtained a Certificate in Innovative Leadership (LEAD) from Simon Fraser University. Stevie later pursued additional certifications, including becoming an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in April 2018 and an Accessibility Advocate from IBM in October 2020. Stevie Thuy Anh completed a micro-certificate in Hiring for Decolonization, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Creative Industries from OCAD University in June 2021. Most recently, they obtained the Indigenous Canada certificate from Coursera in October 2022. In 2014, they also attended the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy, completing Level 1 in Narrative Therapy.
