Jim Caroompas is an experienced freelance writer and musician who has been self-employed since September 2017. Currently, Jim serves in communications and digital marketing for Cline Family Enterprises, focusing on brand development and community outreach since September 2013. Previous roles include tour guide for Platypus Tours and senior local editor for Patch.com, where oversight of five sites in the Contra Costa region was provided. Jim's career also includes significant positions at Kaiser Permanente as a media relations specialist and internal communications/media relations manager, as well as a writer and communications strategist at Bayer Corporation. Jim holds an Associate of Arts degree in Humanities from Contra Costa College.
