Keith Adams, PE, joined ClimeCo in October 2018 after a 40-year career with international industrial gas producer, Air Products and Chemicals. He developed Air Products’ voluntary greenhouse gas reporting program and was the primary author of the company’s first ten CDP Response documents. Keith led the company’s regulatory advocacy for the development of climate change regulations in California, Alberta, Ontario, and associated federal programs, where the company operates large emitting sources. Subsequently, Keith defined and implemented the compliance programs for these sources. He has managed the capital project environmental permitting for over $4B of investments across the US and Canada, including Non-Attainment New Source Review, PSD and Title V Operating permits, NPDES wastewater and stormwater discharge permits.
Keith continues to actively track and influence the development of climate regulation, particularly related to carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), and low-carbon fuel standards across North America. He has led economic screening for project development that identifies the value creation pathways from producing low carbon-intensity hydrogen and derivative products/fuels. He is also engaged with the regulators and technical experts supporting the permitting approvals for CO2 injection.
Keith is a registered professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Science in environmental engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University. He is an avid skier, hiker, and has been known to enjoy a glass of red wine.
