Lionel Kubwimana has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Lionel most recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Climb, where they refactored and pruned legacy code, automated app deployment, and improved application speed. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer II at Doctolib, where they collaborated in a feature team to develop a new prescription experience for doctors, authored technical documentation, and led codebase familiarization sessions for new hires. Lionel has also worked as a Software Engineer at Workelo and Joinly, a Teacher at Le Wagon, and Network Engineer at Covage. In their role at Covage, they were responsible for automated network service provisioning, network configuration audit, testing and validating IP services, and providing pre-sales support and level 3 support escalation. Lionel has also built CLI tools and web-based tools in various projects throughout their career.

Lionel Kubwimana's education history begins in 2009 when they attended the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, where they studied Computer Science until 2011. Lionel then went on to pursue a Network Engineer's degree at the Université de Technologie de Troyes from 2011 to 2014, focusing on Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. In 2013, Lionel participated in an exchange semester at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, studying Computer Engineering. Most recently, in 2017, Lionel attended Le Wagon, completing a program in Full-Stack Web Development.
