Jim Dermody, MPA has extensive work experience in the field of law enforcement and security. Jim is currently serving as the Director of Security at Climate Pledge Arena. Prior to this, they worked at the Seattle Police Department in various roles, including Captain-Metropolitan Safety Services Bureau/Seattle Police Operations Center, Captain-Collaborative Policing Bureau, Captain-Special Victims Crimes Section, Police Captain-Force Investigations Team, Police Captain-Intelligence and Tactical Analysis Section Commander, Police Captain-Data-Driven Policing Section Commander, Police Captain-Narcotics Commander, and Precinct Commander for East & West Precincts. Jim has also been a past member of the Operational Committee at Washington OneNet | FirstNet - Access Washington, where they contributed to the development of the State Plan for FirstNet in Washington.

Jim Dermody, MPA holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Governance (Executive) from the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Jim also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Society and Justice from the University of Washington from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, they received an Executive Certificate in Police Leadership from the University of Washington - Michael G.
