Katherine Lake is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in energy, climate change, and environmental law. Currently serving as Head of Legal at Climate Friendly since January 2024, Katherine previously held the position of Special Counsel for Energy and Climate Change at Hive Legal. Katherine's career includes notable roles such as Senior Legal Counsel at AGL Australia, Senior Manager/Director for Climate Change and Renewable Energy at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, and Senior Associate at Ashurst. Katherine's experience also encompasses positions within government and legal firms, including the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, Baker & McKenzie, and Linklaters. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws from UCL and a dual Bachelor of Science and Laws with honors from the University of Melbourne, along with a Graduate of Company Directors' Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors anticipated in late 2024.
