Gemma Holmes is a Senior Analyst at the Committee on Climate Change since December 2014, leading efforts on health and the built environment within the CCC's Adaptation Committee. This role involves developing an analytical work-programme focused on assessing the effectiveness of Government policy in addressing climate change impacts alongside social, economic, and environmental challenges. Prior experience includes serving as an Analyst at the same committee, where responsibilities included assessing progress on greenhouse gas emissions in the devolved nations and preparing progress reports for the Scottish Government. Before joining the Committee on Climate Change, Gemma held various roles at the Met Office from March 2009 to December 2014, including Safeguarding Specialist, Upper Air Network Coordinator, and Forecaster. Gemma holds a Master's Degree in Meteorology and Climatology from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham.
