Thomas “Matt” Matthews serves as CSA’s Vice President of Mission Support Services where he leads operations and training services for defense and national security customers. Matt facilitates customer-focused solutions that enable readiness, strategic planning and mission critical operations. His expertise includes program delivery and market growth in overseas contracts with international partners.
Prior to joining CSA, Matt served as Director of Operations for Capstone Corporation and managed programs and business development activities for Joint, Service and Combatant Command customers. He successfully implemented service offerings in training, analysis and operations. He also expanded live, virtual and constructive capabilities in support of U.S. and multinational units.
Before his career at Capstone, Matt spent ten years at SAIC where he served in several analytical and leadership roles. He served as a program manager and as a capture manager for NATO and Department of Defense customers. He also served as a senior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton and delivered innovative results for a variety of customers, including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Office of Naval Research and the U.S. Marine Corps. Matt presented at the Military Operations Research Society Symposium and served in the Office of the Governor for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Matt’s proven experience in corporate leadership, management, growth, profit and loss and strategic planning guarantees his delivery of integrated solutions across a diverse portfolio. He fosters highly capable teams, develops strong customer relationships and advances transformation to meet national security challenges.
Matt holds a MA in War Studies from King’s College London, United Kingdom and a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
