Denise Avila has a wealth of experience in software engineering, data science, and physics. Denise is currently the Software Engineer Tech Lead at Clicampo, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Software Engineer Specialist, Senior Software Engineer, and Internship Trainee at Loggi from 2019 to 2022. Denise was a Data Scientist at Nextel Brasil from 2018 to 2019. Denise also has experience in academia, having been a Physics PhD candidate, Teaching Internship, and Teaching Assistant at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and Universidade Aberta do Brasil from 2013 to 2014. During their time as a Physics Master student at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, their research focused on Quantum Mechanics, specifically Quantum Information, Quantum Computation, and Quantum Optics. Her research title was "Quantum Cloning of Qudits".

Denise Avila obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2013. Denise then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Physics from the same university in 2015. Afterward, they became a PhD candidate in Physics at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais until 2019. Currently, Denise is a PhD student in Computer Science at USP - Universidade de São Paulo. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Coursera in Convolutional Neural Networks, Programa de cursos integrados Deep Learning, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning. Denise has also obtained a DS4A/Latin America 2020: Graduated with Honors certification from Correlation One.
