Matthew Barton has a wealth of experience in software engineering, with their most recent role being as a Senior Software Engineer at Clever Devices since 2012. In this position, they worked on porting a large C# application to a new single-board computer platform, adding support for modern devices and improving reliability. Prior to this, Matthew served as a Principal Engineer at Neusoft America from 2010 to 2012. Previously, they were a Principal Engineer at TapRoot Systems from 2002 to 2010, where they managed projects and led a team for a popular Windows Mobile application. Additionally, Matthew has held roles at BOPS as an SW architect, at Ericsson as a Consulting Engineer, at Nortel as a Software Engineer, at IPC Information Systems as a Software Engineer, and at Pitney Bowes as a Senior Engineer.

Matthew Barton attended Greenwich HS from 1971 to 1973, where they earned their high school diploma. Following this, they pursued their higher education at Yale University from 1974 to 1978. At Yale, they obtained a BA and MS in the field of electrical engineering.
