Craig Frederick

Senior Director of Engineering at CleveMed (Cleveland Medical Devices Inc.)

Craig Frederick has over 20 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Craig began their career as a Systems Engineer at North Coast Automation, where they developed a visual inspection library for custom industrial automation solutions. Craig then worked as a Software Engineer at Xerox Connect, performing software development for e-commerce and database applications.

In 1999, Craig joined CleveMed (Cleveland Medical Devices Inc.) as a Software Engineer/Network Administrator. Craig was responsible for installing and maintaining the company network and developing real-time data acquisition software for a wireless physiological diagnostic system. Craig also developed software for managing a multi-node wireless sensor system for use on military aircraft.

Craig's role at CleveMed evolved, and they later became a Software Engineering Manager. In this position, they managed a team of engineers and supported research and development on multiple products. Craig also led the hardware engineering of an EEG data acquisition system for an inter-operative depth-of-anesthesia monitor. Additionally, they developed FDA compliant policies and procedures for software development and verification/validation.

Eventually, Craig became the Director of Engineering at CleveMed, where they managed the development of various sleep diagnostic products. Craig designed and implemented a web-based waveform viewer and scoring & reporting system for polysomnography (PSG), utilizing HTML5/CSS/ASP.NET MVC technologies. Craig also implemented and enforced new FDA/ISO 13485 compliant policies and procedures for engineering design controls.

Most recently, Craig has taken on the role of Senior Director of Engineering at CleveMed, where they continue to oversee the engineering department's operations.

Overall, Craig Frederick has demonstrated expertise in engineering management, software development, network administration, and compliance with FDA regulations.

Craig Frederick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Penn State University from the years 1994 to 1998.
