Mark Schimmel is an accomplished professional with over 29 years of experience in the film, television, and branded entertainment industries. Currently serving as a lecturer at the University of Central Florida and a professor at Cleveland State University, Schimmel teaches courses in screenwriting, visual storytelling, and film production. In addition to academic roles, Schimmel is actively producing the feature film "IT'S OK, GO BACK TO SLEEP" and directs commercials and branded content for Road Pictures. Schimmel founded Once Upon a Time, Inc., a production company specializing in diverse media projects, including global campaigns for notable clients. With a strong educational background that includes a BFA from Pratt Institute and an MFA in Film from Vermont College of Fine Arts, Schimmel began a career with Walt Disney Productions and has contributed to various academic institutions, enhancing the education of future filmmakers and media professionals.
