Robin Vanlear

Director/community Arts at Cleveland Museum of Art

Robin VanLear serves as the Director of Community Arts at The Cleveland Museum of Art since August 1989. Prior experience includes a role as Fine Arts Faculty at Cate School from 1985 to 1989 and Artistic Director for the Summer Solstice Celebration from 1983 to 1989. Educational background comprises a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Performance Art from the University of California Santa Barbara (1981-1984), an Advanced Diploma in Sculpture from Emily Carr University of Art and Design (1973-1976), and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts with an emphasis on sculpture, along with teaching credentials and a mathematics minor from Mount Holyoke College (1966-1970).
