Marlin Pickens has a range of work experience primarily in the sports industry. Starting in 2013, Marlin worked as an Athletic Department Intern/Practicum Student at Cleveland State University. In 2014, Marlin gained further experience through an internship at the Cleveland Indians and a brief role as a Guest Services Team Member with the Cleveland Browns. From 2014 to 2021, Marlin held various marketing positions at the Cleveland Cavaliers, starting as a Seasonal Game Day Assistant and working their way up to become a Marketing Coordinator and eventually a Marketing Manager.

Marlin Pickens attended Bowling Green State University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Sport Management.
