Devynne Booker has a diverse work experience in various roles related to sports and media. In 2018, they started working at The University of Akron Student Recreation & Wellness Center as an Intramural Sports Supervisor and also served as an Outdoor Adventure Services and Intramural Sports (OASIS) Office Assistant. In 2021, they temporarily assumed the role of Interim Intramural Sports Manager during an employee's leave, where they handled game and staff schedules and conducted trainings.
In 2022, Devynne worked as a Seasonal Assistant - Basketball Communications for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their responsibilities included assisting in day-to-day media operations, managing team media coverage and archives, coordinating interviews and media availabilities, distributing credentials, writing press releases and game notes, editing team publications, and training game night assistants.
As a Social Media Intern at Bleav, they gained experience in managing social media platforms. Devynne also participated in the 2022 Atlanta Hawks Summer League Learning Internship, where they engaged in discussions led by Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena Leaders and presented a project to benefit the community.
Additionally, Devynne volunteered at the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Devynne Booker's education history begins with their enrollment at The University of Akron in 2017. Devynne pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies and a Minor in Sports Management, completing their studies in 2022. During their time at the university, they also obtained a Certificate in Professional Social Media, which they completed from 2020 to 2022. In December 2020, Devynne successfully obtained the Hootsuite Platform Certification from Hootsuite.
